Aromachology
Sense of smell
important. Understand the sense of smell.
Smell or olfaction is
a basic human sense. Smell is a "chemical" sense. Unlike taste, there
are hundreds of olfactory receptors, each binding to a particular molecular
feature. Odor molecules possess a variety of features and thus excite specific
receptors more or less strongly. This combination of excitatory signals from
different receptors makes up what we perceive as the molecule's smell. In the
brain, olfaction is processed by the olfactory system. Olfactory receptor
neurons in the nose differ from most other neurons in that they die and
regenerate on a regular basis. The inability to smell is called anosmia. Some
neurons in the nose are specialized to detect pheromones. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sense)
Aromachology is all
about perfumes and fragrances. They are available in 5 different
formulations, to suit your needs and the strength of wear that you want to
create. Historically, pure perfumes, pomades, elixirs and oils were the only
means available of wearing a fragrance, but as technology increased Eau
de Toilette’s, Eau
de Parfum’s
and scented body lotions have become available.
Different Ways to Wear
a Perfume
Eau de Parfum: Eau de Toilette: Eau de Cologne: Scented
Body Creams: Why the smell of
perfume is spread throughout the room?
Perfume is the extract or
extrait of a fragrance and represents the scent in its purest form. This often
creates a smooth and round texture, which is hard to achieve with the dilution
represented in the other concentrations of fragrance. This makes pure perfumes
the most expensive way to buy a scent. Pure perfumes also contain 20 to 40 per
cent of fragrance oils and expensive elixirs, which are held in alcohol to
enable them to bond to the skin. This is a much higher concentration of oils
than in other types of fragrance. The longer lasting base notes often dominates
the formulation of pure perfumes, with fifty per cent of the fragrance
concentrated at that end. Perfume is generally dabbed onto the skin rather than
sprayed on as the propellant added can often damage the oils and decrease their
staying power.
The molecules of perfume are in a gaseous state and
mixing with the molecules of air in the room. All of them undergo random motion
at all times as a result of the internal ("heat") energy that they
have absorbed. The molecules often bump into each other, which causes them to
mix if they were not mixed previously.
Just as air expands to fill all available space, so
too do gases in a closed container mix until the mixture is homogenous. This is entropic
pressure,
a "force" whose existence cannot be proven directly but can be argued
statistically. Because the motion of the molecules is entirely random, the
probability of finding a given concentration of perfume in a given volume of
air approaches an even distribution throughout the room as time goes on.
If this explanation
was not clear enough, a simple analogy may help. Think of a box that is
sparsely filled with two different colors of marbles, with the two colors
initially separated. Shake the box. If you keep shaking, the two colors will
eventually mix until the separation is entirely destroyed and the distribution
is even. This is the same thing that happens to perfume molecules that begin
concentrated above the surface of a girl's skin; they gradually disperse until
they fill the entire room.

difference between perfume cologne and eau de toilette?

Arochology
is an in-depth study of natural facts and ingredients, whether from nature or
born into man or animal, e.g. oils from plants, reflexes, senses, etc.
ARO-HEALING
& AROCHOLOGY IS AN ALTERNATIVE HEALTH THERAPY AND COMPLIMENTARY MEDICINE.
IT IS A THERAPY OF RELAXATION, HEALING AND TREATMENT (PHYSICAL AND
PSYCHOLOGICAL), AND MOST OF ALL, A THERAPY THAT IS ABLE TO PROMOTE HEALTH AND
STIFLE AGE! (Arochology will be discussed in detail
at the appropriate time.) The emphasis is on ultimatehealth
and wellbeing. ARO-HEALING THERAPY, TOUCH THERAPY, ARO-T PRODUCT RANGES
AND ARO-T PRODUCTS FORM PART AND PARCEL OF THIS MILLENIUM AGE THERAPY!
Sense of touch
important
Touch (tactition or
mechanoreception) is a basic human sense. Understand the sense of touch.
When we hurt ourselves as children, we
learn to 'rub it better' because the vigorous action helps to relieve the pain.
This concept - that touch
promotes healing and bonding - dates back thousands of years.
There is nothing more
healing than the energy which flows from
positive touch.
Touch is a perception
resulting from activation of neural receptors, generally in the skin including
hair follicles, but also in the tongue, throat, and mucosa. A variety of
pressure receptors respond to variations in pressure (firm, brushing,
sustained, etc.). The touch sense of itching caused by insect bites or
allergies involves special itch-specific neurons in the skin and spinal
cord. The loss or impairment of the ability to feel anything touched is called
tactile anesthesia. Paresthesia is a sensation of tingling, pricking, or
numbness of the skin that may result from nerve damage and may be permanent or
temporary. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sense)
Arochology
is also about the sense of smell, but to a much lesser degree than in
Aromachology.
The
ultimate goal of Arochology is ultimate health and well-being.
