403 Dilutions - Homoeopathy Three logarithmic potency scales are in regular use in homoeopathy. Hahnemann created the "centesimal" or "C scale", diluting a substance by a factor of 100 at each stage. The centesimal scale was favored by Hahnemann for most of his life. A 2C dilution requires a substance to be diluted to one part in 100, and then some of that diluted solution diluted by a further factor of 100. This works out to one part of the original substance in 10,000 parts of the solution. A 6C dilution repeats this process six times, ending up with the original substance diluted by a factor of 100−6=10−12 (one part in one trillion or 1/1,000,000,000,000). Higher dilutions follow the same pattern. In homoeopathy, a solution that is more dilute is described as having a higher potency, and more dilute substances are considered by homoeopaths to be stronger and deeper-acting remedies. The end product is often so diluted as to be indistinguishable from the dilutant (pure water, sugar or alcohol).

509 Orthopathy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template_talk:Alternative_medical_systems ..... claims that Orthopathy is an alternative medical system . I see no evidence that it's of any note. It's not listed at NCCAM, and it's not listed in mainstream sources. Google searches for the term show that it's more often used in a religious sense that has nothing to do with medicine (it means "right-heartedness", as opposed to orthodoxy which means "right-mindedness").

602 It's official: acupuncture really works Study reveals health benefits of ancient healing art Judith Ritchie slowly eases a fine steel needle into the back of her patient at a point marked out in felt-tip ink. As the needle is gently tapped, Judith explains: 'This point lies over the organ I want to strengthen, her liver. I want to improve the quality of her blood and her yin, which affects the energy balance.' Acupuncture relies on a different language and different tools from Western medicine, but however strange it seems at first, this patient, Louise Shelver, is a convert. For years she has had debilitating migraines and pre-menstrual tension. 'The doctor told me that I could go on the Pill or have anti-depressants,' said Shelver, from Reading, Berkshire, who is treated fortnightly. 'I didn't want that, so I came here and it has totally altered my life.

703 ARO-HEALING THE MILLENNIM AGE THERAPY 'I INVENTED A THERAPY THAT IS ABLE TO PROMOTE HEALTH AND STIFLE AGE' Aro-healing is a relatively new therapy based in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. The development of Aro-healing was based on the concept that modern medicine is inadequate in healing a multitude of problems, both physically and spiritually, and is unable to duplicate the secrets of healing found in nature. Although Aro-Healing covers a wide field, I stress Touch-Therapy as a means of healing and bonding. There is nothing more healing than the energy which flows from positive touch.

1001 Homotoxicology The word Homotoxicology is derived from three words; "Homo" meaning man," toxico"from toxin or poison and "ology" from the Greek word logos that means to study. This is a biologically based medical system. These medicinal products influence the bioregulation processes, acknowledging the complexity of human physiology. The products are developed according to homoeopathic principles. It increases the regulation of the physiological processes to induce homoeostasis (it literally means to remain in the same condition, to remain as close as possible to a steady state of the system) and health evolution.
