10 COMMUNICATE THROUGH TOUCH—BABY AND INFANT MASSAGE

When I refer to the baby and his  mother, I am talking about a team. They are not separate entities. The fact that the baby is out of the womb, does not separate the baby from the mother. They are one and shall remain one. (Understand that ‘his’ will refer to both genders).

As time goes by, the baby will increasingly become a separate entity until he can start to function on his own. Do not lose sight of the fact that the baby has a unique personality which is about to develop and is an individual in his own right. Respect his wishes.
